A night of Flesh, Fun and Fantasy by Brisbane Photographers Clarissa Bones (Raw Bones Photography) and IC Pool as they launch their first series together: ‘Flesh’
This collaborative series of photographs seeks to re-contextualise the classic nudes of 15th century renaissance into a postmodern digitally sterile world.
“Beyond this contrast between Life and Death, Flesh also exposes the raw textual qualities of the flesh of both ‘fruits’… as exotic, succulent and enticing – fruit of the flesh and fruit of the earth.”

New ideas for new work and a new way of presenting the work on this site.
I can’t wait to begin…
New Website
Finally got round to streamlining this website.
This site will be for my Portraiture and HolyGreenCow will be for my narrative driven art work. I enjoy both equally as well as the challenges that they present.
Now that I am back on a break from University, I will be looking to finish off the the three series I have been working on for the last couple of years.
It’s time to put the book together that covers my first 7 years as a portrait photographer. 2004-2010. The website covers 40 of my favourite images over that period. A period that saw me use a lot of film as I tried to teach myself the principles of light. Nowadays it seems like if you shoot film you are closer to God. Which is silly… A photo is still a photo, what you shoot it on doesn’t make it any better.
I resisted digital for a long time, but after a generous gift of a 10D from my good friend Ben, I entered the Brave New World. Now that you can emulate the film aesthetic digitally, I must say that it’s more efficient to use digital.
I still shoot medium format on transparency, but it’s a pain in the arse to get developed when you need it and then printed. Apologies to the cool kids that insist on film… and good luck to you.
Anyway… After this year is wrapped up I will be working purely on a series of dark erotic portraits with a theme of self reflection. Each model will be putting a little of their inner self into the work to create a series that is personal and unique.
I’m looking forward to it.
